U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
President Abraham Lincoln formed the USDA in 1862. USDA is a research leader in everything from human nutrition to new crop technologies. USDA is the steward of our nation's 192 million acres of national forests and rangelands. USDA is responsible for the safety of meat, poultry and egg products.
•  Caribbean Area Natural Resources Conservation Service
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is a natural resources and environmental agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NRCS provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain, and improve our natural resources and environment. NRCS manages and administers several programs, initiatives and works in partnership with 17 Soil Conservation Districts in Puerto Rico and one in the U.S. Virgin Islands. NRCS provides technical assistance, free of cost, to land users to solve their natural resources challenges and assist them to maintain and improve their economic viability.
•  Institute of Tropical Forestry
The International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) is part of the USDA Forest Service, located in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. The Forest Service mission is to achieve quality land management under the sustainable multiple-use management concept to meet the diverse needs of people. The Institute is dedicated to tropical forestry on an international level. The IITF's mission is to: Develop and exchange knowledge critical to sustaining tropical ecosystem benefits for human kind.

University of the Virgin Islands (UVI)
The University of the Virgin Islands is a comprehensive land-grant institution with a liberal arts base committed to meeting the educational needs of the U.S. Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean.
 • Conservation Data Center
The CDC compiles, analyzes, and disseminates natural resource data. The data being collected is linked to a Geographic Information System (GIS). The CDC's GIS lab provides sophisticated analysis as well as accurate and reliable map products for any area of interest in the Territory.
 • Cooperative Extension Service (CES)
The Cooperative Extension Service is the education & outreach arm of the University. It offers programs and assistance to Virgin Islanders on the topics of Agriculture, Natural Resources, 4H Youth Development and Family & Consumer Science.

VI Department of Planning & Natural Resources (DPNR):
 • Coastal Zone Management Program (CZM)

The U.S. Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Program was established to manage, enhance, protect, and preserve the Virgin Islands' coastal resources, while reducing conflict between competing land and water uses. The CZM program is strongly committed to the overall management of the coastlines to ensure environmental and economical sustainability for future generations.
 • Division of Environmental Protection (DEP)
The mission of the Division of Environmental Protection is to provide protection and conservation of the natural resources of the Virgin Islands in collaboration with other DPNR divisions and governmental agencies for the health and comfort of the public and, an improved quality of life.

V.I. Department of Agriculture
The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture's mission is to support and promote the U.S. Virgin Islands' Agriculture Industry, while protecting the consumers and the environment, through education, development, implementation and communication of sound agricultural policies and programs.

V.I. Waste Management AuthorityV.I. Waste Management Authority (VIWMA)
The V.I. Waste Management Authority is the territorial solid waste and waste water management agency. Their mission is "preserving paradise for future generations."

Coral Bay Community Council (CBCC)
The Coral Bay Community Council is a grass roots organization of residents and landowners in the Coral Bay, St. John Watershed working together to protect and improve the community's resources and environment.

Learning Networks Foundation
Learning Networks Foundation's mission is to increase and improve the educational training opportunities of underserved persons where ever they reside; to provide capacity building of the underserved through the use of technology; to explore and share emerging technology with underserved individuals, groups and institutions to enhance their effectiveness in reaching others within their communities and worldwide; and to provide services to the incarcerated to ensure successful re-integration with society.

SEA is a 500+ member organization committed to protecting and conserving St. Croix's beautiful island environment by promoting the conservation of environmental resources, providing education and advocating for environmentally-responsible actions that benefit St. Croix.

St. John Community Foundation
The St. John Community Foundation's mission is to promote programs that strengthen community and family values and enhance the quality of life for all members of the St. John community.

V.I. Farmers Coop logoV.I. Farmer's Cooperative (VIFC)
The Virgin Island Farmers’ Cooperative, Inc. (VIFC) is a 521(a) farmers’ cooperative organization established on May 16, 2005 to assist farmers with production, marketing, group purchasing and to provide a voice for increasing agricultural production in the Territory. We are dedicated to the promotion and development of a viable Agricultural industry and for making an economic stimulus to help to improve the quality of life of all in the United States Virgin Islands.

V.I. Sustainable Farm Institute (VISFI)
The Virgin Islands Sustainable Farm Institute is over one hundred acres of rolling green hills and valleys nestled in the highlands of the northwest corner of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. VISFI promotes the development of agroecology: an innovative field of agriculture that enjoins productivity with resource conservation, using ecological and indiginous management models to create sustainable life systems.

National Association of RC&D CouncilsNational RC&D Association
The National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils serves as an advocate for local Councils. They help local Councils identify, address and solve challenges to sustain and improve quality of life in their own communities.
